Our Teams Help in Crisis
Monsoon storms and floods ravage parts of Nepal and India every summer. RUN Global teams have distributed emergency aid to many storm and flood victims, following the instructions of Galatians 6:10, “So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.”
Each year, some born again believers have lost homes or roofs and/or cows, goats, and pigs, drowned or washed away by floods, making homeless people with the animals that were the means of providing for their families. Generous donations from caring Christians have been brought by RUN Global’s teams to replace the losses. And sacrificial giving from Christians in the West have provided emergency tarps for shelter and bags of rice and lentils, flashlights to spot snakes that get into the temporary shelters, and gas cylinders for cooking. But the monsoon season will come again soon and we will continue to distribute aid to victims.
Flood and storm relief efforts demonstrate God’s love in ways the recipients will never forget! We build bonds of friendship that become new Discovery Bible Study groups. In time, some of these groups become new churches.
